SUMMARY

UOK is a daily wellbeing app used by high-school students to share their mood and concerns with teachers. The startup needed the existing check-in experience redesigned — students weren't using it consistently because the flow felt repetitive, impersonal and visually flat. I took the project from research through to a shipped high-fidelity prototype end-to-end: usability review, user flows, mid-fidelity wireframes, design system, and a fully interactive final prototype.

MAKE IT WORTH OPENING EVERY DAY

The check-in only works when students use it at least 3x a week. The redesign had to make the daily routine feel rewarding, not repetitive.

PERSONALISATIONS THAT ACTUALLY SHOW

Students wanted to see their history, track their moods and feel the app was theirs, not a form their school handed them.
 

DELIGHT WITHOUT DISTRACTION  

Friendly illustration and motion to replace the traffic-light colour system — engaging, but never in the way of a fast check-in.
